Week One

The first full week back was great!! Homework all got done, but we have a project due Sunday night at 11:59 pm!! So I have to work on that, but otherwise there is no other homework, but of course, this is only the first week back! In CWI we are allowed to take tests early. So I took one yesterday and got 100%, it was the states and capitals..not to tough! High school is exciting, I love my classes! I got switched to a different type of P.E, because as freshman we are required to take a certain one. But since there were too many people in one science class, they had to move P.E. so I am in one that is really fun!! All the other kids do hard work outs while we play games! :) We have been playing volleyball, which I really like! Tomorrow I go to an All State camp. What it is, is a vocal thing where you can audition and it is all across IA. So that will be an all day thing. I was thinking of sleeping in....but I remembered then, that I had plans. Oops! Guess I'll have to rethink my plan!! Then on Sunday, Stu-co is having meetings that day, because we have to get ready for homecoming etc! Crazy how busy my days are! Convention is in 2 weeks! But the first one is this coming week!!! I can't wait! :) Hope that all are doing well, and have a fabulous weekend!!

Pictures

I got my school pictures taken this weekend. When my brother and his wife came to pick up the kids, they stayed the night also, so we went around town and took pictures! He has processed some already, but there are a lot to go through, so I can't wait to see them and order them. My profile picture for blogger is one he took! Very exciting! :) Hope all are doing well!

Weekend

The week is over! I can't wait til school goes for the full week, and for the whole day!! :) Life's good! My 4 year old niece wants to have a sleepover tonight, so we're going to meet them for supper! Hopefully her lil' brother will want to come too! :)

High School

I survived my first day of high school!! It was actually really fun! :) Didn't get stepped on, stomped on, squished, spit on, or any other terrible thing! I am surprisingly excited for the rest of the year! My backpack weighs as much as I do. I almost fell over. My mom said she isn't going to pay for my chiro appointment if I need one, but I didn't trust my locker because it would NEVER open. Turns out I was trying to open the wrong one. I was off by 1 number....oops! I am so ready for a nap! Thankfully NO homework on the first day, although it will be piled on in a few days! :) Hope all are doing well!

Farewell to Summer

In 13 hours, I will be starting my first day of high school. The thought is nerve wrecking and exciting among many other things! Summer is over. It went way to fast this year. I am usually really excited about starting school, don't get me wrong, this year I am, but I do wish I just had a few more weeks of summer vacation. But here's the deal. I can't wait for conventions!! But convention means school starts then get out of school and go!! So it is a good thing that it starts tomorrow!! :) I guess I am finally entering my last step that takes me to reality. Or would college be the last one? Is college a part of reality, because your parents aren't there? Hmm, what do you think? Hope everyone is doing well!! :)

I really like Dr. Seuss quotes, I'm not sure what it is about them, but they just stick out and are easy to relate to!

Papa Haydn's

 

This is a restaurant that has really good desserts! My dad's cousin came to meeting with us, then we all went out to grab dessert! Now if you know me, I had the chocolate mint one! Our cousin had #1, me #2, my mom #3, my brother and sister #4, and my dad #5!! They were soo good! :) I got these pictures from the website. I took one of my dad's and mine, but it was really dark! P.S. The top braces came off today, supposedly one of my bottom molars rotated so I have to keep them on for another month! But the top looks great!! It feels really weird too :)

City of Roses

This is a beautiful garden out in Portland. The City of Roses! :) I have been there the past 3 years in a row, and it may seem like it gets old....but it never does! It is just so pretty! :) Hope all are well! P.S Braces come off tomorrow! :)

Stuck

Our flight was first delayed, then delayed some more. Then delayed again, and again. Then the reason was because of the crew being over their legal flying time. New crew was to arrive at 8:50. Airlines decide to cancel flight altogether. So we are stuck here. People left and right are on their phones, waiting in lines for new flights etc. It is madness! So here I am, blogging and charging my computer! :) At least there is internet so I can occupy my time! How is everyone else's life goin'?? :)

Up in the Air

Today is the last day in Ore. :( Flying out today and headed back to boring old Iowa!! I haven't been home for over a month. I don't want to go home, is that odd at all?? :) I will post pics when we get home, my computer for some reason wouldn't let me connect with the wireless here, so I have to use my brother's laptop instead. Oh, and one thing I do NOT miss are the bugs!! There are none out

We have been going to the farmer's market. We went to one on Sunday and one yesterday. Also, we have been meeting up with my dad's family who lives out here. It is good to see them again! Yesterday my sister's parents came up and we went raspberry picking. There were those who were serious pickers, the oh-I-see-one-let's-pick-it pickers, then there were the I'd-rather-eat-these-than-pick type. But I had fun picking as did everyone else! Between us we got 15 1/2 pounds! Which for those who didn't pick any to put in the box, equaled out to have everyone pick about a little over 2 pounds :)

Well when I get back I get braces off, I am excited about that, but yet sad! They have been with me for 32 months! Due to the fact we couldn't have gotten them off earlier! School starts the 17th which is less than 2 weeks!! Ok, well I don't know much else, so I will let this be all! Hope all are doing well!!
